I received a text about a job posting. I was asked to download Telegram to conduct the interview. I tried to find the original job posting but couldn't find it on line. I contacted the person via Telegram and went thru a minimal interview process and was immediately offered the position. I was told to be ready the next morning at 8 am to work with a training manager via the Telegram app. He sent me an offer letter with forms to fill out and send back. I was also told that I would be sent a check to purchase all the hardware and software I would need for the job. I never spoke to anyone over the phone. I was never interviewed by the person I would be reporting to. I cold not find a phone number for the company or any info on the hiring manager or trainer when I googled them. While the business has a LinkedIn profile, the hiring manager and trainer do not. When I mentioned I was uncomfortable with the whole process and asked why there was no corporate phone number, I didn't get a response.
