Scammer posted a "sponsored" facebook marketplace ad. Called themselves metro motors which is actually a business that is closed but owned by a legitamate other company called city motors. So they were using a closed legit companies name and address but their own phone # and email. They sent photos of the car they were selling and would not send a specific photo i asked. They also asked for payment and that they could ship the car so i rejected and was going to fly iut to view the car. (Classic cars you cant look the vin # up so its very hard to catch scammers) .. so i started calling around and called city motors to ask if they knew what metro motors was and they asked me if i encountered this car via a fb marketplace sponsored post. He told me another person flew out there looking to buy a car and that they got scammed. They will send only stock photos and videos of vehicles. Do not submit and deposits or funds. The business shows up on google maps but is closed and theyre taking advantage of their name. The lady who answered the phone and called herself a sales manager name was Roberta castro (fake name likely).
