Type of a scam Online Purchase
A few emails were exchanged about the boat and the sales process through the consignment company. They advertise a 7 day guarantee after delivery and free shipping within 1000 miles. The seller explained to me that they had purchased a vehicle through this company a few years ago. The company appeared to have good reviews so I moved forward with the purchase via the company's website. I received an invoice and bill of sale via email and sent a domestic bank wire to an account at a bank in Miami Florida. I received conformation about the wire a few day later. After numerous attempts of trying to contact the company on the phone to speak to someone I became suspicious. Further research on the internet uncovered the various websites with good reviews are bogus websites. If you remove everything but the first portion of the address you will go to a foreign website. I am currently waiting for someone to contact me about shipping the boat but I've notified my bank and there are in the process of submitting a recall on the wire but no response has been received yet. No further emails have been received from the seller.
