I was contacted by someone who claimed they were interested in purchasing my car. They wanted a specific vehicle history report and would not accept the Carfax report that I already had. They sent me a link of the company they wanted the report from. I went on the link and entered my all my credit card information. I paid $40 for 2 separate reports and after I forwarded the reports to the person who was interested in purchasing my car they never contacted me again. I googled it and it's a scam. They do this to get 1 of 3 things. Your credit card information to make fraudulent charges, boost the companies sales, or sell your information to a 3rd party on the black market.
