Same Scam from (714) 874-3471
KSL Classifieds in Utah. Selling a motorcycle. There's no history on this motorcycle. I gave a free report with no accidents or a salvage title. Insisted on AutoVINReports.com I countered twice. Saw this and told them to go on their way.
I hope other people know to verify. It looks legit enough to suck me in for a moment...
Guess sometimes its good to be super skeptical about everyone. Smith's conviction about about my name aw he gave me his, getting off at 11, scheduling a day off work & even paying me back when he gets the car on Thursday. The number he used was 913-374-8227. I did manage to get an email address as well - [email protected].
I despise scammers, seems the world is full of them. I can't understand why anyone would do this all day, seems pointless. Then again, they may get way more people then I would ever think to buy this stupid report.
1. I post my car on Autotrader .. and someone started sending me text messages saying he is interested in buy my car, then when can he come and see it, then "Oh I am sorry, my name is Smith".. and then I can visit tomorrow 2 pm after my night shift!... then hey send me the AV report. I was like what is an AV report? Oh, It is "Autovinreport.com". I said okay - I will check.
I am glad that I google and found that it is not a legit website. Now I am asking him why he needs the AV report. Maybe I should report his number to the police, or is it computer AI sending me these messages, no?
2. Women started sending me emails to buy my car, confirming the price. I told her in the response email. She replies price is fine and asked my PayPal account and name right away to transfer the money! ah too easy! Do you not want to look at the vehicle first?" I asked. "No, it's fine" - Guess I was lucky to find a buyer like that, eh! end of the email exchange.
So many Sammers around!
Episode 1: exactly the same dialogue and excuses.
Episode 2: ask the guy to e transfer 500 to show good faith before im setting up and sending the PayPal info since he is asking me to remove the ad as he is buying the car for sure. Did not comeback after that. Lol
If you want real purpose in your life, Jesus Christ can give you a reason to wake up every morning and live life to the fullest potential, better than you can ever imagine. You may or may not actually read me responses, but I want to share with you the path the salvation and real life. First, you have to acknowledge that you are a sinner, just as I am. It's not hard to admit if you are honest with yourself. After that, all you have to do is believe in Jesus as your personal Savior and that He died and took your penalty for your sin. He will then work in your life, and you will be changed forever. You may not want to hear this now, but God is working in your life as we speak. You will probably struggle with that, but I will be praying for you.
I also had someone in same area code try to buy sight unseen and pay with PayPal, but I cut them off before it went any further.
I reported the phone number and website to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre today.
Offered to pay it back when he buys the van. Exact same claims as the others have reported here.
How did the report look like, did it have any legit details about your car?
