I completed the order (11/17) and waited for delivery. I received an order confirmation from "[email protected]", then the shipping information in an email from the same sender. The product arrived on Monday 11/23. Everything was very professional. On Tuesday (11/24), I thought it might be wise to gather more information in the unlikely event that I had committed to more than the $14.76. After a brief investigation, I began to uncover a problem.
This company has advertised false claims that they have received endorsements from several celebrities.
First, I checked the charges made to the credit card. There was no charge for $14.76. There was a charge to goldenbalancetrue.com for $6.78 and a different charge of $7.98 to healthysimplenature. The total of these two charges is $14.76. Not a good sign.
Additional investigation uncovered the fact that I "had not read the fine print." It turns out that the initial outlay of $14.76 turned to be part of an agreement to join a "membership program" that would cost $94.87 plus shipping every month. The fault is completely mine for failing to completely read the fine print. Finally I found this statement, "You can cancel any time by calling 888-556-2122" which I have done.
