Type of a scam Travel/Vacations
By clicking the link it provided it sent me to my phone app with the same number. The person who answered, with a Sorry Asian accent, addressed herself as an Avianca representative. Shortly after the conversation started, she requested the confirmation number and last and first name of passenger. From that she had access to all the flight information. It was reassuring.
The clinch was she created a problem stating that one passenger's flight was bumped, and that she would be able to resolve this, get a premium seat ticket together with me on the same flight.
Except they would need to cancel that flight, and require us to purchase a Avianca gift card at the nearest Walgreens. After a 15 minute conversation with being on hold and talking with the "manager", we got disconnected, and another number called us back at a different number. +18056918328
However, from the request to purchases a gift card there was enough sign for us to smell a scam, we googled both numbers and they came up with no tech support lines.
We hung up.
