I was offered a position after a text interview for the service desk manager for this small timber company in east texas. I did research and things didn’t add up but appears this is a legitimate family and business, at least through other holdings like Avinger Lumber and Avinger Mineral but I believe I was scammed by someone not in this business. This family is in TX politics as well. I was sent a check for 2450 to get my computer and materials. That check is on hold until 3/22 with chase but I was asked to send 1250 via Zelle now to their vendor. They have ceased communication. I have lost no money and did not send the 1250 but I did deposit the check I envision will eventually not process correctly.
