I checked online through Google for a phone number to Avis. I called that number thinking I was talking to Avis about renting a car. They told me to get a green dot card to pay for it. I got the card for $425 then called back with the card number. They told me I needed to send more money. They would only accept payment through a green dot or other gift card. I told them to give my money back. The rep said he would talk with his supervisor and call me back. I did not get any call back. I called them but the line was always busy. I called Avis corporate but they could not help.

My car was on the rack, my son is in the hospital, my husband has alzheimers and my car needed repairs, and I needed to get home. I needed a rental car, so I googled Avis. I called 844-982-3852. I spoke to a man with an accent who told me to buy either American Express or eBay gift cards. I had to walk half mile to Krogers and CVS who were both sold out. I called him back and said it's taking some time because I'm walking to thee stores. I bought two eBay gift cards for $200 and $76 from Walgreens in Whitehall, Ohio. The clerk didn't ask me anything about at all. I called him and gave him the security numbers from the backs of the cards. Then he gave me a rental confirmation for a Chevy Cruise. I waited 2 hours, but nobody came. The mechanic said he thought I'd been scammed, and he took my car down and let me take it home. The number rings busy now. I was under lots of pressure and I know nothing about gift cards.

Do not talk to these scammers! they approve you for a loan and then tell you you have to pay an amount for the insurance since your credit rating is bad.....then after you pay they say they just spoke with the insurance coverage company and they need another payment, they will act all upset and say they fought for you but do not believe these clowns!
