Scammer texted my real estate agent who currently has a property for sale that I listed. They stated they were with the Avista Utilitys disconnect (sic) team. They state they have a disconnect scheduled for the property at the correct address that is for sale and they want to give the realtor the chance to pay the past due amount so no sale gets lost. The scam part became obvious as the bill for my actual Avista Utility Company currently carries a credit balance. I'm a disabled senior so felt others should be aware of this scam.

We called the phone #they provided and a male answered! He tried to work his story , thinking, perhaps, he had the realtor on the phone but when he got called out on his lies, he abruptly hung up.
