When I entered FIAR (Five in a Row) into address bar on Internet, a computer alert pop-up came onto my screen. It had repetitive voice alert saying there was an immediate threat to my computer security. The voice mentioned "pornography threat" and need to "protect with firewall." The warning picture kept flashing and the repetitive voice would not stop. I tried to close the boxes by clicking the right corner X but they would not close. I learned later (too late) that I should have pressed CTRL - ALT - DELETE to shut down the screen. Instead I called the number on the screen 888-660-1831. I thought it was a legitimate computer software technical support company. Each of the people I spoke with were very knowledgeable about technical computer information. In my case, each of the people spoke with an East Indian accent. The first person was a girl and I saw her name posted on the screen at one point as Amanda Gill. Another person said his name was David Johnson but his accent was definitely East Indian. The person who said he would be my follow-up support technician said his name was Kevin. The names of the support companies they said they worked for were AVKTargets and TechAxis. The information they got from me was my credit card number (for clean-up and 1-yr. security) and my permission to install Webroot and other Virtual Network programs on my computer. I do not know yet if their charge of $349.99 will go through on my credit card because following this experience, I called an alert and also called the "real" Microsoft Company to remove their installs and give "real" web protection.
