I came across a car that was for sale on the Willamette Valley Auto Group LLC's website. They also had an ad on craigslist as well. I called the number on the ad and spoke with an individual. He sent videos of the car and everything looks legitimate. He emailed me the carfax report as well as the purchase agreement. The purchase agreement had their name, address, phone number, year/make/model of the car along with the VIN number and warranty info. After the agreement was signed, he emailed me instructions to wire the funds. Once the funds were wired, the seller (individual) was fairly responsive. He told me the when the vehicle was picked up from their warehouse and the route that it would be taken before it arrives to my home. Fast forward a few days, I called the sale person on Monday, the day the car was supposed to arrive, for an update on the location of the car. He emailed back and said that there was a delay in one of the shipping because one of the dealers weren't there to sign off on the car so the current driver needed to wait for the new driver to pick up the car and offered a $500 compensation due to the delay in delivery. At this point, I was feeling suspicious and concerned. Since I was buying a Tesla, the owner of the car can open the Tesla app on your phone to get an exact location of the vehicle. I emailed the sales guy to send me screen shot of the location and he never responded (red flag). The next day I called him back for an update and he said he would call his driver. A couple offers later, I got a call from the "driver" and said the car is in Bismarck ND and would arrive on Wednesday around 1-2pm. Also by this time, their website was shut down as well as their business phone number. I tried calling the sales person but it would ring once then kick to voicemail. I tried calling the driver as well and his phone would go to voice mail.

SO be careful if you are buying out of state because these scammers are also offering free shipping of the vehicle. I found out that this scammer is also listing other high end cars in different parts of the country with detailed vehicle information, which make it look very real.
