My husband was talking with a company (Axitec LLC - we have dealt with this company in the past) about buying products for our construction company. We also have wired money for product purchases to this company in the past. After talking on the phone with them, I received an email which looked like it was from the company because it is exactly like the emails we receive from them. All the same people were listed in the email with the invoices and wire payment instructions. The wire payment instructions were on the Axitec letterhead and listed the company to wire the money to as a DBA. The invoices listed the actual products we were talking with the company about purchasing. The wire instructions listed TLR Contractors LLC as the DBA and had their address listed as Axitec's actual address and I wired the money to the account listed on the fraudulent wire instruction sheet that was sent to me from the fraudulent email address (the fraudulent email addresses was almost identical to the actual email addresses - the main contact at AXITEC actual email address is ******************* and the fraudulent email was [email protected]. I saw this after I had wired the money when I put my mouse over the contact to see the email address. I wired $212,406.32 to the fraudulent company.
