Most likely he have multiple numbers & emails... & Will change his name

I had the same experience as the other person that reported it on this website. I was sent an email about a job interview because they had seen my resume on a career website and said I would be perfect for the Office Manager position. Seemed sketch from the beginning, but I went along. The interview was completely bogus and was later informed that I got the job. Of course, never responded and blocked the number. Shame on “Thomas Roma” for preying on people that are just trying to find a job. Please be careful about sharing sensitive information!

Thomas Roma reached out to me through email with an employment opening for an Office Manager role in a new branch that was opening up "very soon" in my downtown area. He asked me if I was interested, requested my phone number, and asked me if I could set up a phone interview the next day, I responded through email that I would be interested.

The following day the "phone interview" consisted of two very basic questions, the call didn't last longer than 5 minutes. He ended the call by telling me that he would inform me by email if I had secured the job. The day after, I received the email and text informing me that I had the "job" and that I would be receiving a call with more details.

Later that same day Thomas called me and he then gave me some descriptions of what this job would entail, such as the company sending me a check for office supplies, meeting with the realtor to get the keys to the new office, and that I would be receiving my first two weeks salary through a check a week after receiving the check for the office supplies. He insisted that I acted quickly when I received the first check because the new office would need to be up and running within the next two weeks.

I knew after my "phone interview" that this was a scam, but I wanted to stretch this out for as long as I could to get more information about this scam!

Three days later, I received the "office check" through UPS for $2900.00, Thomas texted me immediately afterward informing me that he had been notified through UPS that I had received the check, he called me later that day and again, instructed me to rush to my bank to deposit the check! I then asked him a few questions, such as who would I be reporting to in my new role, I asked for the company directory, the physical address and phone number (you will see on their website that they have no contact information), and how could they ask me to go deposit a check without me being a formal employee (I had not signed any paperwork). He got frustrated and could not answer any of my questions, he was irate and informed me that he didn't have time to waste on me and that I no longer had the position. I told him what position? I was never formally hire and I relayed to him that I would be contacting the authorities, he hung up.
