Azmarketinginc.com Reports & Reviews (20)

- Santa Fe Springs, CA, USA • Oct 21, 2024

They operate as a telecommunications marketing firm with several employees/locations in California, but they do not show up on the California Secretary of State database.  They aren't on other business databases like Data-Axle either. The owner, Alante Atkins, cannot be found on these databases either. Their website is: https://www.azmarketinginc.com/pages/contact

They've recently interviewed a lot of people, and some of the interviewers are people shown on that website at least. They might be doing business in some fashion, but it does not look like it is entirely legitimately by the Yelp reviews: https://www.yelp.com/biz/a-and-z-marketing-pico-rivera

Be aware that the Pico Rivera address is their only Yelp page, at an address that may or may not exist. They were interviewing applicants at the Santa Fe Springs address. At most, they seem to have been in business for two years under this company name.

This job was on indeed and posted a job listing saying they are looking for an account manager that’ll get paid 1200-3000 weekly. Numbers might be a little off but it’s fairly close. I left my SECURED job, to only get hired at this company to do door knocking. I would come in at 7:00am leave around 9:30pm11:00pm Monday-Saturday getting paid $60 checks while others were getting paid around 1100+ without even “making sales goal”. I spent all my savings trying to survive while working with this company that promised I would become an “owner” and making thousands if I stayed for 6 months. It’s been 7months since I left and I lost everything. I want people to know that is a DOOR KNOCKING JOB! And that the owner does not keep his word. I felt so embarrassed and ashamed that I was told I was hired as an account manager then went to knock on doors. I only stayed bc I was promised to make $900 weekly by Alante (owner) and never received anything close.

They contacted me first by saying that my resume stood out to their director and that they'd like to schedule a Zoom interview (their phone number was (747) 200-6572). I didn't apply for this job myself. Their position required customer service and sales management. I agreed on a Zoom meeting which was scheduled for 07/11/2023 at 13:00. At 12:57 I got a text from the same number saying if nobody's on Zoom meeting I should call or text them. I texted the number they provided which was (747) 338-0970. I didn't get any response. The position they wanted to hire me for was very unclear. It was also strange to me that they contacted me first through text message. I also don't have any marketing/sales experience/education.

I did not recall applying and could not find any emails of me talking to this company. The text didn’t state what role it was for. And I had a hard time finding more feedback from previous employees until I saw some other people say their experience on here.

The previous post about this marketing agency is WORD FOR WORD what I just experienced. I just ended the interview right now and I felt really suspicious of them. I was concerned because there is barely any information about them online and then I found this website with this post warning about the integrity of this company. I was shocked to see that legitimately someone had the same exact experience as me (when I say word for word I mean it). I'm scared now. Stay safe, I hope they don't take advantage of the other people on that interview.

I experienced the same situation. I got a text message that I applied for a certain position that I never recalled applying to. I have applied to numerous places for employment and take note of them to keep track. When I received a text message from this place I thought maybe I forgot to take note of this application but because it was the first message I heard back from in months, I instantly said yes to the interview. Definitely a pyramid scheme but hidden very well. They go through a very vague interview process where questions are broad and runarounds on the same topics. They only give so much information away. I checked their social media accounts and they have recycled content throughout three different pages all with different names. Very weird. The way you can work your way up is by also recruiting others to work with you and to train them. "Entry-level" trainees make a certain amount of revenue per sale, while those higher than them make more due to their "workload being much more". They make money off the entry-level trainees but manipulated it in a way that almost sounds fair.

A recruiter reached out to me via text saying they were with A&Z marketing and they had reviewed my application for their full time, on site position in Woodland Hills. I never applied to this job but I know sometimes applications get shared across platforms/companies so I didn't think this was weird. I did the first round interview along with 4 other women, the recruiter was nice and professional, but the job she was describing immediately set off alarm bells, it sounded too good to be true.

As I thought about it more I realized they were using a lot of the same language used to recruit people into pyramid schemes/MLMs. She talked about working for a commission, being trained to manage a small team, and then a larger team, and then eventually "managing your own market." We were given no time to ask questions before the interview was over.

We were told A&Z marketing was a 10 month old startup which had single-handedly taken over marketing operations for Nestle's water delivery service and had successfully saved that product from financial ruin and we would be responsible for learning the ins and outs of the product through a 5 step training program.

I went ahead and did the second round interview to gather more information. The person who interviewed me here was not professional at all. He also left me no time for questions and by the end of the interview I was certain that this company was very sketchy. He quickly let me know at the end of the session that they would reach out to me to set up a time to conduct a third round interview then hung up.

The woman who conducted the first interview gave me a call later and asked me if I had any questions and how the second interview had gone. I asked if it would be possible to speak with someone who had been hired for the same position in order to get more information about the role and the company. She immediately got uncomfortable when I asked her this question and she said there was "so many people who had been successful in the training and were doing so well managing their own markets" but she couldn't name any contact that I could speak to aside from herself and the person who had conducted my second interview.

Eventually she said she would have one of their "very successful" recent hires call me the next day. I never heard from anyone. I even followed up with her to ask when I could expect a call and she did not get back to me.

Upon doing more research on the company I found that they are operating under at least one other LLC. Their "CEO" Alante Atkins also has Higher Kingdom Marketing which is operating out of the same physical address as A&Z Marketing (the one in Woodland Hills) and provides much of the same information on their website.

It is clear to me that there is some sort of pyramid scheme going on here and that this company is predatorily reaching out to people who's information they receive/purchase in some unknown way and operate under several LLCs in order to make it harder to crack down on them. They make the job sound incredible, saying that after a 6-8 month self paced training you will be a manager of your own market with the inability to be fired and a salary of 100-150k a year while making your own schedule. They are using all the classic MLM language.
