Sent a direct message “looking for ambassadors” ...the website was working at the time. They gave me a discount code. I made a purchase. Never heard from them again. Instagram account no longer exists and their website is shut down with 404 errors. I googled. Many other people have had the same issue. Never got a product.

This company contacted me on instagram about an ambassadorship.

After purchasing a hoodie, it has never arrived.

I've looked into it more and multiple people have had the exact same happen to them.

At first they said it was due to delays in shipping, now they avoid contact and do not reply.

I was private messaged by Denise Insd Matthews of Backed by Nature through Instagram. She offered me an Ambassador position. I checked out their website and Instagram account. They don't have any information on themselves or what organizations they help. I soon got a message from Backed by Nature after.

Despite saying I wasn't interested, they kept pushing and continued to send messages.

They offered me a brand ambassadorship on Instagram and gave me a discount code. I purchased a product, product took months to arrive and was a clearly fake product. They offered no help and played dumb. Online search revealed it’s an ambassador scam.

Backed by Nature reached out to me on Instagram to be an ambassador. They gave me a promo code to use, so I bought several things and eagerly awaited their arrival. After 3 months, and several messages later, I received 1 item of my several item order. It was a giant bracelet that wouldn’t fit. No other items were received. When i messaged them about it, I was told to email them. When I emailed them my long story, I received “no. We can not help”

I then reached out to their Instagram user and spent a good 15 minutes of being told to email them and they can’t help me. Needless to say, I’m not happy and feel silly for falling for it.

An account with zero followers or posts DM'ed me on Instagram to offer me to be a 'brand ambassador', but to DM their main account @backedbynature. They offered a 40% discount code and when I asked questions they stopped responding.

I received a message from a separate account, that did not follow anyone or have any followers saying Backed By Nature is looking for brand ambassadors. After private messaging the Backed By Nature account to inquire more, it was difficult to get my questions directly answered. They did tell me they were looking for brand ambassadors that if I was interested I could use a 40% off code to make my first purchase. They said 10-20% of each order goes to "national parks and forest conservations that we see fit in sustaining our beautiful lands..." When I asked for them to name some of the organizations they've donated to so far I received a message back saying "Thank you for your support!"
