was looking for a rental was told to send $75 for a background check, which I did. After sending the $75 he right away asked for $300 for security deposit. I informed him I would do so upon inspection of the premise. He refused and continued to request the $300 and I again said no. Third time he asked, I said forget it and seeing as you haven't had time to run a background check i need my money back. No more communication. I contacted my back and they are trying to do a dispute through Zelle (that was how I sent the money)
