Order never arrived. Bank account had hundreds of charges from all over. Stopped by bank. Business said it was delivered to post office. Wasn't.

A website advertised large discounts up to 90% off for Christmas trees and decor. The scammer used a reputable company, Balsam Hill, to replicate their website using trademarked logos, customer reviews and photos, had an 'about us' section, and everything else a legitimate website would have. However, upon further investigation, the web address had been made to appear like the legitimate company site. (The correct website is: www.balsamhill.com. The scam website includes an extra character, "i" at the end which is easily overlooked due to its proximity with the double "l" letters at the end of the correct web address. The Scam site is: www.balsamhilli.com). Upon purchasing two products, I was sent a confirmation email and tracking number. For 12 days, the scamming company provided tracking/shipping updates through their website using my tracking code. The shipping updates included updates like "passed through port of entry customs, awaiting air flight" and various other updates that seemed legitimate. After several days, I became suspicious and called the number listed on their website (845-882-5382) to find it was not a working number. I then checked my bank account and found the transaction had posted under a vendor name of "COVE CHICDRESS CO" which is nothing close to the supposed company name, Balsam Hill. I researched more online and found that it is prevalent scam and determined I had fallen victim to it. I contacted my bank and the three major credit reporting companies to report a fraud and freeze my accounts.

A reel came up on Facebook advertising Balsam Hills Black Friday sale, when clicked, it took you to a link https://www.balsamhilli.com/

Neither of us caught that it was a scam until after it was too late.
