I received a phone call saying my Bank Account was being scammed though my Zelle Account for 1200 and 980 dollars. Than I was giving a phone number to call with a BOA # they than said call this # 844-428-8542 and this is the fraud Zelle help line. When I call that # they had me go online in my bank account and they act like they was helping me get my funds back. They had me Zelle Money too a My Self. Com ****** Account than a Banks 02 DESO account. Which was a fake setup. And my account was hit for $980 though Zelle. I'm a retired veteran with a disabled from a stroke. I Reported it to the bank after my girlfriend said she didn't trust it . The bank was only able to stop the $1200 withdrawal but they wasn't able to stop the 980 Zelle cash money they got. Out of my Bank Account. This cause my account to go in the negative and interrupt all my bills that were coming out to be paid include my mortgage I just want to report this and hopefully it never happens to anyone else. Thank You * *****

On 4/14/23 at about 8:30PM I received a phone call from a local number but the caller ID said Bank of America. The man on the phone said he was from Fraud Protection and wanted to verify some charges on my account. When I told him I didn’t have Bank of America, he said an account had been opened in my name 2 weeks ago using my full name, address and phone number (which he had and read to me). He said they also had my social security number but “couldn’t release anything else” to me. He also said that whoever created this Bank of America account had hacked into my Zelle and there were 2 pending transactions totaling $3500. He gave me a case ID number and a code (which was 1999.99) and then “transferred” me to “Zelle Customer service” where this man instructed me to open the Zelle app in order to “cancel” the transactions. He said that if I had the updated version of Zelle, there would be a button to send a cancellation code but if I didn’t have the updated version I would just have to click send. He then said I would have to send the “code” I was given (which was a dollar amount) to his “manager” in order to cancel the pending transactions. At this point I hung up and did not communicate with them further.
