I have been applying for remote jobs on LinkedIn when I received an email from what looked like Banner Health. I was convinced it was legit because the emails seemed to be written by a person and not a bot. They weren't subscription emails, they had last names and they even spelled my name wrong. They sent me a PDF questionnaire to fill in with some interview questions before being chosen for a briefing session on Microsoft Teams. We scheduled a time to meet, then it was rescheduled at the last minute. The next day came when we had scheduled to meet and they offered to reschedule again which I thought was weird. I did a little digging and realized I hadn't actually applied to banner health through LinkedIn like was mentioned in the first email (I was applying quickly so it wasn't crazy that I didn't notice this) I also looked up the names of the individuals in the email and Microsoft Teams and they were old celebrity names. My suspicions were high at this point but I continued anyway. The briefing session, was just over chat and they basically just told me about the position, asked a few very basic questions and then asked for the name of my bank and then later, my full name. I gave neither one and insisted that we need to have an actual interview via video conference. This is when they told me the briefing session was over and told me to have a good day.
