The advertisement on Facebook Marketplace showed a picture of a storage unit 6’x3’x2’ stating the product is made in the USA and delivers from Los Angeles, CA. Purchase was made, credit charged, and an email with fake tracking number was sent as confirmation. The tracking stated it originated in China on 11/6 and arrived on 11/22. On 11/26, I received a flat USPS package about 5”x7” containing a cheap “data cable set” that is no bigger than 4”x5”x1”

I emailed the company, they replied, directing me to check my mailbox or call my local post office, or click on a suspicious link for further instructions. I did not click on the link, but I have reported the charge to my credit card company to dispute the charge. I also tried to report the advertisement to FB Marketplace, but have had no way to warn others of this bait and switch scam.
