I called back and asked for the mailing address of their offices. The receptionist "John" was speaking like a freaking auctioneer and I told him to slow down and to repeat the information. He got pissed... Told me "I already told you the address"... I was like WOW... Great customer service skills you all have...
I asked to speak to a supervisor. It was escalated to Hayley Nickleberry, who stated she was a supervisor. She tried a new approach to get more information from me... asked where I was working. I told her I was not giving her that information. She then tried to "warm up" to me. All the while, I was looking them up online... She vehemently denied being Barnum & Graham and associates and instead, told me that they are Barnum & Graham, LLC and to not get the two confused... I looked at the address posted online of Barnum & Graham and associates and sure enough... Same one that the rude receptionist "John" gave me... I told her that I just uncovered their lies and would not waste more of my time. There were so many things that did not add up, but they are so aggressive that they put you on the defense, hoping they will be able to bully you into paying them... (Which they also told me they were not a debt collector and they they would have to transfer me to the approved bank re conciliator to pay the bill). FINALLY got out of her that they wanted over a grand for a $300 check that they said happened back in 2011... I looked up the company name online and the attached list of businesses associated with William Avery Johnson appear. It also stated that the business was dissolved... If this is the case, they are still operating. I have filed this with the state of Indiana BBB as well...
