Created a job posting on Indeed for a work from home opportunity to be a customer service representative. The company that they claimed to be on Indeed was different from the “company” that responded to my emails. They told me they wanted to hire me without having any interviews or face to face interactions. Their address is fake as I couldn’t find their office with it. Their website is also brand new, which is a red flag as well.
Exactly as described! 100% of what happened to my friend.

These scammers are putting up employment advertisements on Indeed for remote positions. They contact via email and request the victims to download a chat app called Telegram. The "manager" is very aggressive and requests private information such as passport/bank information via text. They move money in and out of various bank accounts to purchase bitcoins via BTM. Please be careful with replying to ads for jobs as many are extremely predatory.
