I applied for a remote job on indeed. I was approached by Barzan Medical to be interviewed on an app called Wire. A person claiming to be a manager at Barzan Medical supplies sent me a contract with company logo. He then claimed that I need office supplies and equipment to start training. He sent a check for $8900 and asked me to deposit it in my bank account to purchase the required equipment and software. He then told me to wire $8700 to a vendor who will provide the necessary equipment. As soon as I wired over the amount, he revetsed the check. My checking account is now overdrawn and I owe the bank a huge balance. I want to warn others against this scam so they don't fall for it.
