I first read about Basso on Instagram and really fell in love with their shoes and the urban style they marketed. I went onto their website and googled them to see if I could verify that the company was legit. It seemed legit at the time, but I found it odd that they did not have a contact number or address directly stated on their website, nor do they mention that their products are shipped from China. After making my purchase on March 18, 2020, I received an email confirmation that my product was shipped on March 21, 2020. I was provided a link to track my shipment and for the next month, it only said the item was in the sorting center. I was only told that the product was coming from China and was experiencing delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic after I emailed them a few times. I demanded a refund on the item and was told that they do not provide refund on shipped items. At that point, the shipping status still had not shipped. It is now April 28, 2020 and I doubt that there is any shoe or shipment and am infuriated that I fell victim to this scam of a company on top of the fact that they have my credit card information. By any means, I strongly urge anyone who fell victim as I did to share their story to prevent this from happening to anyone else.
