I received an email from "Bayard Advertising" about a Graphic Designer position. I have my resume information on LinkedIn, as I'm searching for work. The email told me they reviewed an application that I sent, and wanted to interview me. At the time I couldn't remember if I had applied to this supposed business or not because I've applied to dozens of places through LinkedIn. I said I would do the interview, and it conducted through Microsoft Teams chat with someone named Sheila Spinner. The interview took a few hours, and the next day I got a call from a guy claiming to be from the company, and told me I got the position. I was sent company documents to sign that looked legit at the time, filled them out, and emailed them back to the person claiming to be from HR, Yolanda France. The documents included my bank account information and scans of my Driver's License. While chatting with Sheila after accepting the position, she claimed I needed to message someone named Daniel Arisa, to buy my work equipment through him for a discounted price. I was told to buy and iPad Pro and Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra phone, that would be sent to me once company software was installed on it. I was given an invoice and told to pay through Zelle or American Express Credit Card. I did neither and stopped communicating with these people because I was growing worried that something was off. After more research, I discovered a post from someone online warning people about this scam, showing the same company and documentation the scammer sent me. I've closed the bank account I gave information on and got a new Driver's License. This scam was incredibly elaborate and people need to be cautious of this supposed company. The website looks very impressive and legit at first glance, but the more you look at it, there is little to no real information about what the company does.
