The scam they are trying to do is they will ask me to do a job on a house, usally on the market, Then when i ask for a deposit or payment they will send a fake check for a couple grand more the amount agreed and ask me to send the overage to their account after i deposit the check. They know they bank will put it thru a business account so it looks good untill a few days later when the bank cathes it and returns it. By then you have sent them the money. I had 1 person that wanted a roof to say hes was out of town and had flooring Contractor working on his house and he was gonna send me a extra payment in the check for the roof to pay his flooring contractor. Again i would have deposited check would look good long enough to pay flooring contractor thats really him, The scammer. They are getting very clever and are usally from India.
