I had googled a “thrifted” version of a cookbook and one of the top results was for this website. While the website didn’t seem top notch, I read through the entire webpage for the book and found nothing that concerned me. Upon purchase, I received an email that I assumed was a confirmation for my order. Many days go by without receiving the cookbook in the mail or getting any email updates about my order. So I look more closely at the original email and it turns out the purchase was for a pdf version of the cookbook. I call the company twice only to go straight to some strange voicemail answering service. I leave a message but am never called back. I email them and tell them what happened and that their site said nothing about the book being a pdf or ebook. They respond insisting they cannot give a refund. We have many back and forths where I explain it’s a scam to sell a “book” without mentioning it’s just an electronic copy and they never even acknowledge that fact and simply insist they will not give a refund. I was luckily able to obtain a refund via my credit card company but others should be aware of this completely misleading company and their abysmal customer service.

On 11/21/2021 I ordered this book (pictured below) from a company called Belomero. I ordered this online from their website advertised for $9.95. I never received an email confirmation or the product.

I called the number listed by the company to speak with somebody and left a message and got a generic answering machine. I have never received a call back.

I emailed them 6 times to get a refund and they only respond with a generic email stating that the product is a digital file (not advertised on their site) and keep asking for more info.

I have requested a refund without a response. The credit card payment was made to an account in Greensboro, VA. which was cashed on 11/22/2021.

After reading the reviews, I realized everybody who has used them has had the same experience claiming it is a scam company.

Please alert others.
