Avoid like the plague..luckily I didn't fall for it as they hacked my sisters messenger account and by the way they we're talking I knew it wasn't her..she never calls my by my first name..ask how they know you and ask things they would only know about you if they are friends or family..DONT BE A VICTIM TO THIS

I was td that I qualify for 15,000 and I needed to pay 830. I paid that and they continued to request small amounts of money arranging from 150 to 500. When I told them I would not send any more money then I was told I was on a list receive my money I'd I paid another 500. I told them I was reporting them to the FBI. The number they were using was immediately cancelled. I lost 2000

Received a text from a very good childhood friend who I have respect for on Facebook messenger who asked if I was aware of a program that awarded grants to persons who were looking to start their own business, or receive money to pay down debts, etc. Unaware that it was not my friend, I continued to converse with the person whose name may or may not be Michael George, Michael Kant, Wesley Pace or something totally different. Under the guise of my childhood friend, the person gave a testimonial of how he received a $50,000 grant from the Bemis Foundation, and outlined details relating to how I could also apply for this grant. I was then given the number of someone I could contact via text at 830-268-1124, which appears to be a person posing as an Attorney Michael George. I was also fed the line by the person posing as my friend that Michael George was such an upstanding Christian, and as a heads up, I would also have to pay a small fee in order to process the grant. After contacting the scammer, he/she gave details about how I could apply for said grant, even outlining specific dollar amounts I could apply for. I was sent further details by email.

As the texting progressed, I unwitting exchanged information with the person (copy of drivers license) and even sent the spammer cash in the amount of $1520, only for the spammer to turn around days later and ask for additional funds after they purportedly attended a board meeting which then they agreed to send an amount above what I originally asked for, for an additional amount sent. It was at this point that I realized that I had been scammed, and refused to send additional funds. It was also at this point where I tried to contact my friend directly. I also observed (after the fact unfortunately) that his messenger text app had been hijacked.There is a subtle difference on his profile.(Using Messenger without Facebook. Logged in using a phone number from United States. Different from your Facebook friend).

The scammer kept trying to pressure me into sending additional funds in lower amounts. The person appears to have stopped texting after I asked him the location of his/her business and address.

The scammer tried to use a Cash App identified as $wesser2019 and PayPal with email [email protected]. I am ashamed that I allowed myself to be duped in this way, but am thankful that I only lost a small amount in comparison to those who lose their entire life savings to these scammers.

I received a message on Facebook from a friend who said that she paid $3000 to receive $100,000 overnight from a grant foundation. I contacted William Flower and he put pressure on me to fill out an application. I told him that this was a scam. My friend's Facebook messenger account was hacked. I reported this to Facebook and also blocked their number that starts with area code 312.

Recieved a FB messenger chat from a friend. Asked how I've been and asked if I've heard her good news. Then come message that she has been awarded a Bemis Foundation grant and they are helping the old, retired,disabled, widowed, veterans,etc. Asked if I've been contacted. I said no. Then a link was sent for their online agent - m.me/Kaysreid992. If you message the link or click on it, you will get a contact via FB messenger from Kay S Reid and she will ask you to complete a form with a bunch of personal information. Once that is done she will tell you she is submitting the form to their database. Then you get a notice from her that you were randlomly selected as a lucky winner of a $150,000.00 grant from the Bemis Foundation Empowerment Program. Then a message asking you to state how you want to receive your delivery - cash or check? Then what time will you be available to receive delivery in the next two days? It is very important. This is when I called her on it being a scam and she was very indignent and assurred me that it was not a scam. Even went so far as to say that yes it was on the website for Bemis that this was a scam but now it's under control and she is authorized to do this. She says they don't ask for personal information (she did) and credit card or bank details. Told me to put my mind at rest and I didn't need to be scared. Also told me that I didn't need to contact anyone else. This was after I replied that I was contacting authorities as instructed on the website.

Recommended by a "friend" who gave me the facebook address of Kay S Wenzel. She said it was Bemish Foundation...

It's a large grant and the process was asking for casn starting with $500 for registration/docs, then $2500 for "insurance".. I sent both one to an address in NYC for $500 and then one for $2500 in Hyattsville, MD. The last one was for $5000 for a "tax fee" I was out of money, so I didn't send that one.

They are supposed to deliver a check for $165k to me on Friday, but they said they wont send it if I don't front them with the $5000

Rcvd a Inbox message via Instagram from a friend about receiving $100,000 from the dept of health and human service (HHS). They "won" a price of $100,000 from the Bemis Foundation Grant in conjunction with the HHS. They instructed me to text the claiming agent at 937-582-1134, and state that a "friend of yours told me about this program". So, I texted the "claiming agent" at that 937 number. They asked for my full name and what address to receive the $100,000 delivery. Also, I need to pay an UPS delivery fee and Certificate of Ownership fee "right away", in order to get the $100,000. When I question the legitimacy of this program, I was directed to their Instagram page (ie Bemis_foundation_grant01) to confirm. I rcvd pressure from both the claiming agent and my friend to follow-through on this "opportunity". When I relented to pay the $175 fee, that's when they instructed me to goto wither a Kroger or Walmart to purchase iTunes gift card of $100, $50 and $25. That is when I told them this is a gift card scam and will report them to the authorities.
