I said yes. and the Interview begun with Mr. Petrus W Roelvink. I asked to download Hangout app. The results from the online interview was that I was given a job. They will need to mail a check so that a home office can be set up and purchase of equipment and software have to be bought. 1/29/2019
They collect your address and proceed to mail you a Navy Federal Credit Union Cashiers check $4970 to deposit into your account. I fell for the hoax because I recognized Navy Federal Credit Union and thought it was a legit check. My bank said the funds would be available on the next day 1/30/2019.
Benitec rep contacted me and asked how much of the funds were available and for me to check my account. I did that. I told them how much they said for me use my debit card on Cash app and I informed them I didn't use Cash app. So they suggested I go to Walmart. I then told them I had to go into the bank to withdraw the funds. I went into the bank to have them call Navy Federal to verify that the funds were available for the cashiers check that was sent to me and they said that the funds were not available and could not verify payment to my bank representative.
I then notified the Benitec contact that the check they sent to me was not good for the amount they were asking me to withdraw and that the bank notified their fraud department, TWC, and the police for the cashier's check sent to me. The POC has yet to respond back to me told me to hold on.
I also contacted Navy Federal to have them bounce the check to cancel the fraudulent check.
A police report for fraud will be filed so that other innocent unemployed victims are not taken advantage of.

On 01/27/2019, I received a text from a person identifying themself as Mrs. Felicia Wealth with Benitec Biopharma Worldwide and later in the communication as Benitec Biopharma LTD from Australia, opening offices in the United States. The person said they received my resume from Workforce Solutions. They provided a list of jobs they are looking to fill, one of which is in my field. They asked me to download a google app called ‘Hangouts’ for further detailed information about them and for an online interview. The conversation sounded professional, with some occasional misused words. They asked for my full name, address and phone number. All information they should have had from the resume they said they had. I confirmed with my local Workforce Solutions office that they are not partnered with this company nor do they have any of this company’s jobs posted on their site.
