Beware online puppy scam

Zelle was used to transfer the total amount of $885 for puppy and crate.
Received email thereafter that extra $1330 is needed to now ship puppy to my home. I contacted seller and told him/her I did not have the extra funds for shipping and I was not made aware of extra costs. The reply of puppy is already in your name and I can’t refund the money. That confirmed for me the whole process was a scam. DO NOT buy from this website and do heavy research with other sites. Don’t send any money across unless your bank is willing to cover costs from scammers.

The website is selling puppies for $750, and an additional $115 for travel fee, so $865. You end up paying the money, which they prefer to do over Zelle or Paypal, when you do that then they take the puppy to be shipped. A few hours later you receive a text and emails from the shipping company telling you there was an issue with the crate and you will need to western union $1330 to rent an AC crate that regulates temperatures. Seller will clue you in on none of this until he supposedly drops the puppy off. They will tell you when the puppy arrives to your house that they will refund 95% of the $1330 to try and lure you into thinking you actually aren't paying much. I talked to the 'shipping company' which email is [email protected], and I called them off the number they texted me from, which is also included in their email, and they sounded very convincing on the phone. DO NOT BELIEVE THEM. I made the absolute stupid mistake of sending them more money, and I will regret it forever. They provide you with a tracking number to this website that looks legit and updates over time. They told me everything was fine, and the puppy was insured and all was now good to go. The next day I get more emails stating that the puppy was laid over due to the puppy not being insured, and they can not proceed with sending the puppy, because it is illegal, and the puppy will enter into quarantine and that you will be charged a fee every day until this is resolved. So, they ask for even more money. At this point thankfully I'm not as stupid as that and immediately start texting the seller for refunds of all my money, because obviously there never was any puppy to begin with. He will tell you he will negotiate and take care of the problem, but never does. Whatever you do, DO NOT trust them, and just never take the chance of purchasing a puppy online. They did a good job of making sure everything looks legit with photos and videos, but it's all one big scam.
