This is the third such email recieved this week, threatening to expose fabricated information about me in exchange for money. The e-mails were all ridiculous, because each one assumed the same things. 1) That I have a Facebook account. (Never have.) 2) That they have control of my computer camera, and as such, recorded disgusting sexual acts from that camera. (Don't have/never had a webcam.) 3) That they have all my contacts, (from the Facebook account I never had), and if I don't send them money within 24 hours, they would send the purported sexual videos to everyone on the contact list. Each email was the very similar, getting my attention in the subject line by using a very old (and very weak) password which is no longer on any account of mine.

(Ransomware is what the FBI calls it). This extortion syle "false information" targets senior citizens because, due to older age, many lack cognitive abilities.

Shameful to say the least! I'm retired military, having served during war time to preserve the rights of people doing things like this.
