We were looking for a puppy so I googled mini Schnauzer puppies and this scam was at the very top of the page. The website looked real and offered a means to contact the individual through e-mail. We e-mailed and they responded immediately and what seemed professionally. After some communicating via e-mail, on a Saturday we sent $550USD via PayPal to [email protected]. At which point they said they would start on the shipping but we had asked if they could wait to ship "Zoey" until Thursday due to a blizzard we were having. Come Thursday they said they could not ship her and that we would have to set a time for the weekend. We all had agreed on Saturday to have "Zoey" shipped. After the initial $550 was sent they began to lack in communication with us. Come Saturday and our puppy had not been shipped. They then told us "I want to inform you that it is complicated and we are suppose to pay an insurance deposit before she can be shipped." After, they informed us that they were acquiring the funds for the "insurance" and then asked us for an additional $300USD to complete the insurance fee. Their comment after asking that was "The insurance fee will be refunded so you will have the $300USD refunded to you .

The insurance is $1200USD so i have managed to raise $900USD that is why i am asking you to complete the rest." The scammer then asked us to wire the money via Western Union. The next day they had told us they shipped our puppy and gave us a website "http://uspettransporter.us" to check the progress of the shipping. This website also looked real. After our puppy had supposedly shipped, the scammer stopped responding to messages and calls. The shipping website said "in progress" but nothing was ever sent. We even received an animated call supposedly from "United Cargo" asking us to rate from 1-5 how the service was. I mean these [censored] clowns had their [censored] together for this scam. We then took to the internet again after no shipment had arrived in Omaha for us and discovered that the websites are in fact a scam.
