[email protected] is not affiliated with Dauphin Island Real Estate. The person behind this scam is using our VRBO listings and emailing potential guests fake quotes. They will include the VRBO listing link, say you get a 20% discount and have a special offer. The price is then provided, discount amount and then the total to be paid. They include that the payment must be paid within 10 days. They need your name, phone number and home address and they will send over a contract as an attachment. The inquiry is ended with "Kind regards, Property Manager, Dauphin Island Real Estate, INC. We at DIRE want to make sure everyone is aware that if you use this company and show up at our office, you will not have a reservation and we will not have a house for you. Please do your research before booking. Call us directly. Do not just communicate with someone via email. Talk to them, get an office address ask specific questions about the house and the Island.
