At that point I became suspicious, but having read all the fine print did not see a catch. I did see that there was a disclaimer that they were not affiliated with Costco. I used my Costco credit card. I took a screenshot of the order page. My “free gift” was wireless earbuds. There was no email confirmation of the order. There was no charge posted to the credit card. The earbuds, made in China, came in the mail with no additional information. Seventeen days later I received an email with a different order number for $84.68. This said the previous “free offer” was a trial period. I called the customer support number and explained that there was no information in the original message about a trial period. I said I would dispute the charge. The support person said since I opened the package and since it had been 17 days, I could not return the earbuds. He gave me a cancellation number, saying my account was canceled, however he said the charges to the credit card would remain. That phone call just took place and as of now neither charge has appeared on my account.
