Type of a scam Online Purchase
On August 4, 2021, I placed an order for exercise equipment, for $97.00, which I found on either Facebook or INstagram. Bevru.com was the ad.
I paid through paypal, but there was no way to track the shipment. Days later, I received an email from UPS that included a tracking number, indicating that the shipment had arrived. It had not.
I called UPS to ask where the shipment was, and they indicated it had been delivered, but not to my address -- and I needed to contact the shipper for the right address. The shipper has been unresponsive. (See email attached, which was the only response I ever received.)
Then, I contacted Paypal, but because the UPS tracking number confirmed delivery, Paypal closed their inquiry.
So I have confirmation that 1) I paid for a product, 2) the product was not delivered to me, and 3) the shipper is unresponsive to multiple emails, and 4) UPS and Paypal refuse to assist, and seem unconcerned that their companies are indirectly involved in this fraud.
I would like to open up a formal complaint, perhaps obtain a claim number, and then copy UPS, Paypal and the shipper on this letter. This shipper appears to be a fraudster, but UPS and Paypal's response to this issue is completely unprofessional.
