I ordered two tabletop heat lamps for $99 and I received one baby sock instead. Because he was through PayPal they needed to provide a tracking number so they had to send an item to show tracking number the item they sent was a baby sock instead of the two heat lamps. Since I pay through PayPal PayPal is also investigating the matter.

Searching on the internet for Orion Starblast 4.5 astro reflector telescopes. Came across the website bikekat.com selling this telescope for $72.99. I ordered 3 of them expecting to pay $218.97 + any shipping. The site offered automatically a 55% discount from the total purchase. This made the purchase price come out to $99 total with free shipping. PayPal was the only method of payment available. I processed the order and it opened my PayPal account to complete the order. After the transaction it didn't go back to the merchant without selecting to go back to the merchant. There was no transaction invoice, no email invoice with no order number. The transaction on my PayPal account shows a Lee Castleberry with an email address of [email protected]. After it processed the payment through PayPal the items were still in the shopping cart. I selected the button at the bottom again to complete the transaction, it then tried to charge another $99 through my PayPal account using a much different email address for the seller. I didn't copy that down, I ended the second transaction. As I was investigating the order and was questioning if it actually processed the shopping card, the items suddenly disappeared from the shopping cart as if to reset for the next victim, me.

The website does offer how to contact customer service. The link takes you to another website not related to the website above. There is a phone number and address available at this site. I called the phone number and it says the mail box is full. Once I hung up I immediately received a text message from the phone number dialed stating "Be aware that my number is being used as a customer service contact for scam shopping websites. Please take the time to report the scam websites to the ScamPulse.com website at bbb.org."

This all took place last night. I called my credit card and froze my account after PayPal showed the payment processed. My credit card was then showing pending. I have reported a dispute for the payment and will have to wait until the payment posts to process the dispute.

The seller does have my full name, home address, and phone number.
