Customer contacted our maufacturer about purchasing CCTV hardware and installation assistance. We received the lead from our sales rep. They proceeded to ask for pricing quotes and modified the order which we provided. Then they agreed to purchase hardware, which was going to be shipped to their technical support department. The accounting department contacted us after receiving our invoice and paid using a credit card. Which cleared and money was deposited into our account.

Order was placed for hardware. Once we had everything ready to ship to the customer, they decided to change the ship to address and use their own UPS account to pay for next day air. This flagged is to investigate. They customer provided a W9 and several pieces of information, which when checked were all fake. Also the website content was found to be a direct ripoff of other legitimate websites.

Once we confronted the customer and told them they the only way the shipment was leaving the building was if they brought cash to pay for it, they rolled up shop and disappeared. No more return phone calls and no response.

We contacted our bank to let them know that we had found fraud and about 3 weeks later our bank sent us a charge-back and swept the money out of our account minus some fees. Since then the scammers have tried to order hardware using a different name and company.

Scammer pretends to be a company looking to purchase Business to business hardware. They make an order and pay via Credit Card, which goes through without issue. Then as soon as the items ship they disappear and the stolen credit card results in a charge-back to the business.

They are smooth but nothing lines up, their W-9, web address names, phone numbers are all fake.

Their Website content is a direct site rip of a real corporate websites - do a cut and paste of any of their content and google it.
