I received a text from “Jessica White” at “Biokem” saying to check my email for an interview for a job I applied for a couple months ago. The email said they wanted to set up an online interview and that they had taken down the job listing to avoid incurring charges so they included the job listing in the email. I responded with a couple times in their interview window that would work for me and received a response that I should email in at exactly the time I suggested for today to receive further instructions for the interview. Curious, I sent the email and was told I would be chatting with the HR manager “Stacy Ricketts” via Skype and that she was also doing these interactive interviews with others at the same time. At this point, I have so many alarm bells blaring, I start to do some research. Several people on LinkedIn are saying that they’ve been scammed by “Biokem” job offers from the same email. I’m sick of these scams and hope they can be shut down. I’m lucky I didn’t lose any money, but frustrated that any personal info from my resume and application are now in the hands of some unknown entity. Beware!
