I work at the Antioch Community Counseling and Psychology Clinic, and I just received a call from someone saying they were from the BBB. They asked if I knew when our clinic was moving (we are moving, not sure how they knew, though). I told her I didn't know, and she kept haranguing me. I asked for her name and phone number, and she said she couldn't give it to me because it was a computer-generated call. I asked her to email me information regarding her question, and she wouldn't do so until I told her when we were moving (which I never did tell her). Then I said I was going to call the BBB, and she hung up.

The caller used a unknown number but gave me a contact number to contact him 786-480-2434 name was Mark Anthony calling from New York claiming he was from the ScamPulse.com. He stated that i made a illegal purchaser of windows 8 from a hacker business ( Which I didn't). Mark (bbb) threaten me will a arrest and jail time if I didn't comply with his request to get into my computer Ip address and check out whats going on using his technician. Pretty scary call which thru red flags, I suspected this was a hacker and said good by, and proceeded to call the real ScamPulse.com and make sure this was real or not.The real ScamPulse.com told me to fill out this complaint to help others who might have gotten a call from these loser.

Received call on my answering machine stating "this is Judy Mcquire from the BBB and they were in town to issue a certified check that I had won. Please call 925-273-9680 so they could get with me to give me my check.

So I called to see what I would get and first sign was a guy answered hello. I asked if this was the BBB and if Judy worked there. He immediately changed his tone and said yes, let me transfer you.

She answered and sounded hurried. I asked what this was about and she asked my name so she could see what I had won. Since they already had that, I did and she said I had won 2.5 million. I asked how did I win that and she said it was a number of companies together that selected wins each quarter based on my paying my utility bills, etc. on time.

She stated I should have gotten a mailing explaining this winning and what I needed to do to claim it. She stated a number of times that she would prove it is real and they have a check for me. However, since I had received no mailing, she would call tomorrow as she was leaving work. Then she would explain it all, since I didn't get that information ahead of the call. It was important to get this set up as they only had till the end of next week to deliver the winnings.

So doing my due diligence, I got on the web and saw a number of the same type of scams and also checked your website to see if I was missing something. I never thought the BBB would be in the lottery business. Had she mentioned having to send money, I would have know immediately. No info was given, no money sent. Just want you to be aware that now they are posing as you also. I will not be answering that call tomorrow.

An elderly family member was scammed last Friday. I was with her yesterday trying to safeguard everything. Later I received a phone call from a man saying he was from BBB and wanted to talk about the scam last Friday. I could barely hear him (call room) or understand him(middle eastern accent). I want verification that he is your employee before I will discuss anything further with him.

I received a call today from Kevin Walters claiming to be with the BBB. He claimed that I won a sweepstakes ($800,000). I knew this was a scam and I hung up on him. He called from 876-426-5269

I received a call from David Sobieski claiming to be from the BBB. He claimed that he had money for me. $250,000.00. He said his BBB number was 4641. I told him that I knew it was a scam and to not call me again.

I did not provide any personal information.
