Received a text message 11/29/15 @ 0800 from 573-290-2199 stating he is Gene Parrish from Bitwise Global . They indicated that they reviewed my resume and I would be a fit for a position. It would be strictly an online work from home job and I was selected for an interview. I asked was this a scam and of course I was told that this is not a scam. During the interview I would get the job description and it will be done via instant messenger on yahoo with [email protected]. Once online I was informed that an office would be opened within the area in three months. I was informed to answer Okay, Yes, No and Done to their questions. They asked age, sex, location and I was asked how I wanted to be paid check, direct deposit or credit card. I would work customer service/office support/receptionist the pay is $27 per hour with medical, dental, vacation and sick days. My hours would be M-F from 8am to 4pm. When I told him by check I was then asked which bank, informed them Chase bank. They stated that Chase is on the list. (Note: I do have a Chase account but the nearest bank to my home is 80 miles away and I wanted to see if they would figure that out.) I was also asked if I has good customer service skills, typing speed, 10 key speed and how well I followed instruction. I was told that I would get instructions from their HR department and they do take out taxes therefore I would need to fill out W4. Finally I was asked if they could trust me? I indicated that I am trustworthy and can I trust that this is not a scam. I was told that my interview went well and that I scored 85% therefore I was given the job. They would send me a check to set up my office to purchase software, laptop and whatever office supplies I would need. They would send the check to me with more instructions as to where to purchase the software. On 12/1/15 I was informed that the checks would be mailed and that I would receive this week. On 12/3/15 I received a text from 219-413-9471 to let me know that I would receive a check via usps tracking# 9470101699320019543344 for office supplies and to let them know when I receive it. I received another text to track the package which it was scheduled to be delivered by 1500. At 1557 I received another text asking if I received the checks? I replied NO. The response "Have you checked your mailbox to know if the check has been delivered?" My response "My mailbox drops into my house. Nothing has come. Please check the status." I informed them that I received the check and that I would be in contact in the morning after going to the bank. When I opened the envelope inside is a check that is drafted from JPMorgan Chase Bank but the company name is Rivera Transport, LLC 340 W 70th St. Unit 124 Hialeah, FL 33018. When I search this company online it is connected to Movers.com and the address is 3240 instead of 340. Today 12/4/15 I called the number for Rivera 305-603-8163 disconnected, then I called 866-343-1243 which is at the top of the website, the person that answered greeted "Movers.com". I asked if they were Rivera Transport he stated no that they were movers.com. I informed him that this company is using their information online, he gave me a different # to call 561-276-4771, I did not call. The letter inside does not have a letter head and I am to contact Stacy Outlaw Financial Officer via email at [email protected]. They want a copy of the deposit slip when I deposit the check, how the funds are used, exact date funds were used, amount used and software vendor I purchased from. I have gotten text messages from both numbers wanting a response from me. I will inform them both I sent an email to Mrs. Outlaw and I am waiting for instructions. Received an email back to notify them when the check is deposited. I have a copy of the mailing label and letter.
