Interview conducted on Google Hangouts, was offered a job within two days with offer letter explaining pay and benefits. Didn’t strike as odd, Bc looks like a standard offer letter. I was contracted at $60.35/hr, which is normal, averaging twenty hours a week. Would need to go thru training of two weeks, and once complete told me would fly me to the corporate office. I received a check and was told it’s to setup my home office and purchase a needed software. The check came for $3810. I deposited into my Chase account. Chase put a hold on the check and restricted my account. I called Black Rock to verify employment and was notified it’s a scam. BuChase closed my account, told me the check was fake and that I can never bank with them or have access to Chase products. Good thing my money will be sent to me in a cashier’s check. I use my Chase account for everything, so caused quite some trouble. Disappointed and embarrassed that I was naive, hope this helps someone else.
