When you get a call and are told that several big publishers are interested in your book, please proceed cautiously. I did not. I fell into the scamming category, and if it sounds too good to be true, then it is not valid! I would classify BlackstonePrintandMediaLLC as a triple-A scammer with willing accomplices. I was provided fake offers using spoofed emails that appeared to come from a legitimate domain, which I did not identify as fraudulent. There were listed requirements on each fraudulent acquisition offer, and this is when the money requirements surfaced. A big catch was that each requirement had to be met, and once met, the acquisition offer would be paid. I authorized payments, and it was so coincidental that after my last required payment, I received a call from the supposedly CEO and a Business Advertisement Consultant informing me this was a scam. I was told an ex-employee with access to the company's computer orchestrated the fraud. But what is genuinely odd now is that I cannot contact anyone via phone or email. Different receipts with accomplices were created, my signature was forged, and my credit card company did not consider this fraud because the charges were not unauthorized.
I contacted the FTC and some Attorney Generals to no avail. I did solicit my senator with an entirely written request to create and pass a Vanity Publishers Transparency and Accountability Act. Writers experiencing similar incidents, please join in by soliciting your public representatives. I asked that all vanity financial requirements be upfront before any agreement. If not, the obligation is on the company. I am requesting oversight, hefty fines for non-compliance, and revoking the ability for a vanity company (Hybrids with vanity fees) to rebrand its name when fraudulent/scamming has occurred unless the writer is made whole without any financial loss. Please join me; I have heard of other similar incidents. It is time for Vanities such as BlackstonePrintandMediaLLC to become accountable to writers.

Blackstone print and media is definitely a scam! They took $4500 from our non-profit organization that builds schools in the developing world. Chris Webb and Von Collins are the names they use on us.

For months the agent contacted me and flowered me with how hard he was working on my project to pitch to Traditional Publisher's.

I finally came to the last payment where he became hard to contact and so, I called Authorsinnovation for more details. I learnt that the agent was on leave for his brother in ICU.

The story changed that it was he himself who was in ICU.

Next, with these stories, I learned that my project was never fully completed or near completion.

The rebranded company is now Blackstone Print and Media trying to target others like me, new to this type of scam.

May God have mercy on them for racking up my debt to 13500 in 4 months.
