I had purchased a puppy from a believed legitimate AKC breeder. The breeder told me he took the puppy to the airport for shipment on-27-2021 for home shipment to me. At 12:02 PM I received an email from Bleppet Paw Transport saying that the shipper had not provided approved shipping crate and I would need to pay a refundable deposit of $1920 for the rental of an approved IATA pet shipping crate. I tried to contact the shipper using email, text and phone to determine if this was legitimate. Eventually the shipper contacted me and said he had received the same email and that I would need to pay the deposit so the puppy could be shipped. I paid $1920 using PayApp as directed because I was worried about the puppy being held hostage at the airport in Alabama also I was assured that the puppy would be put on the next flight as soon as I paid. Two hours later I received another email from Bleppet Paw Transport saying that I needed to pay a refundable $3000 for insurance. I refused to make the payment for insurance and told them to just put the puppy on a plane. They refused and said they would not ship the puppy until I paid for insurance so I told them to get it from the shipper. They said it was my responsibility because I was in possession of the puppy. I knew I had been scammed and had lost the initial investment of $960 for the puppy and shipping plus $1920 for the supposed pet shipping crate rental. At that point in the phone conversation with Jadon Metz, an associate of Garry Lester of Bleppet, he told me I had 24 hours to make the payment or I would be charged with pet abandonment and cruelty. I told him I would be contacting the authorities about the fraud.
