On March 30, 2024 I friended a person on Facebook. I thought it was someone that I knew that I hadn't spoken with in ages. The person told me I was on list of grants where I could receive money. This person said they had benefitted from this and saw my name on the list. They told me to contact the agent about the offer. The phone call failed and I was sent a link to contact them. I provided my driver's license picture and SS number. I was told I would have to pay a one time fee to get the grant depending on how much money I wanted. I would have to pay at least $1000. A delivery agent was supposed to contact me about account information. At that point I realized it was a scam and stopped communication.
