So this scammer got me good. I tried to buy a sphynx kitten from this lady who was texting me and sounded really sweet and honest so I fell for it. After I sent the money to her through ZELLE she was still in contact with me and updating me on the kitten's travel plans. She then dropped the kitten off at the airport to get ready for delivery. I then got a shipping tracking number for the kitten so everything sounded like it was okay, UNTIL the shipping company emails me saying the carrier is not up to date with the new covid-19 policies. So I had the option to purchase a crate that would qualify for flying for only 1,200... At that point I knew something was up. I told the lady I could not pay for that and would want an immediate refund. She then said no problem she will process it for me. She kept me really hanging on the most because she was communicating with me regularly so I felt that I could trust her. Anyways, then she said she talked to her accountant and said it would take 23 days to process the refund. I texted her saying that was ridiculous and threatened to take legal action. She replied once back by apologizing that she hadn't responded. I decided to wait the 23 days and see what happens. Sure enough the 23 days were up just two days ago and she won't respond to my messages or calls and the website has disappeared.
