The mail sent to me in LinkendIn appeared to be from a contact that I know and trust saying that she had been doing the mystery shopping since 2017 and that the company was hiring in my area. I always wanted to do mystery shopping, so I clicked the link and provided my email and address. I then received an email saying my first assignment was being sent via regular mail with a check for $1800 and that I was to keep 350 as my payment and get gift card with the remaining funds. When I finally received the check, the return address was a specific person, not the company address and the check was from All-American Black Car Service Inc. dba ABC Limo Service with an address in Alexandria, VA. After I provided my information, i suspected fraud and began doing my research and could not find anything on the internet about the company. So receiving the check confirmed my suspicions.
