Scam Alert: Blueprint Broadcasting
radio advertising for my company My Insulation Guy. I
agreed and paid them $489 via credit card. I never
received a schedule or heard any radio ad played for my
company. When I researched them I learned there were
many complaints of this company being a scam. On
December 20, 2022, I received an email pertaining to
another radio ad campaign and I responded to that same
email chain on December 20, 2022, stating, "I do not wish
to advertise with you. Remove me off your list. I authorize
no radio campaign or charge to my account (card) for any
On February 8, 2023, my credit card was
charged $100, and on February 24, 2023, it was charged
$299. None of these charges were with my written
authorization. I am also receiving invoices and past due
letters, dated February 3, 2023, and February 13, 2023.
Any continued past due notices or invoices will only
advance my legal action against them.
SCAM!
The ads never played the first day. Maybe I missed them? Although we listened for a huge block of time in the afternoon (3-6PM). Not only did we not hear our ad for the first week there were absolutely NO other ads for toys for tots campaign. Now I am worried, my background is in computers so I set up an app to record the station. I used smart recorder for the next two days to record the time frames and nothing. Nothing from me and nothing from anyone else. At this point another member from Blueprint broadcasting called me pressuring me to give them more money. He argued that I am a just trying not to pay my invoice (I'm a [censored]), and the ads played. Another huge red flag was when the manager took 1 second to come on the line after my complaint (they are so used of this). So I gave them the benefit of the doubt (even after the terrible customer service on the phone), So I thought about it "I'm listening to the station on a web portal, maybe the ads are different" ? So I phone my parents who have an old school tape recorder, I cassette record the last three nights. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, not from me, not from any other company with a toys for toys drive.
I know they will try to pull my character apart as a local business owner that donates to charity... They currently have 75 Google reviews (54 of them are 1 star) and the word scam is mentioned exactly 37 times. They have 62 active BBB complaints in the last 3 years and 22 complaints just this year alone with a B rating. Something I didn't think was possible with the BBB, generally people just pay more money and everyone gets an A+.
The moral of the story is I already have my money back as the CC company had no troubles fighting them with their terrible history. Their employees need to realize that they are working for a SCAM that is actively using a children's Christmas charity to gain small amounts of money from people. This is the lowest of low. They ruined my Christmas spirit and the good faith of an amazing organization such as Toys for Tots.
SCAM FOR SURE
I was asked for the amount of 300.00 to advertise on New Years day and the day after for a spot promoting my home business and that the business would cater to and help out veterans along with other customers by Blueprint Broadcasting out of Chicago, Illinois. When the days and times where given to me to listen and family and friends where present there were no mentioned of the company or anything nada! , nothing, zip ola. When contacted for first payment i explained my concern and was told that it aired. Not so. When I asked for proof of the advertisement I was emailed this lame recording of the add which I still have that sound like mickey mouse on a caffeine high. After the first installment payment of 100.00 dollars. I started digging into this company and found out that I am not the only one.
Several phone calls for collection of money on my part have gone wearisome. I told them that I have not received not one phone call concerning work related to this add. They informed me that the add was not about the business at all but about the veterans . This is extremely misleading. I do support our veterans personally and financially in more ways than one but . However that being said this is a scam . Do not fall for this in a moment of weakness in order to try and benefit or promote your business. Do it the old fashion way hard work , flyers, internet, etc. I have now turned this matter over to legal counsel.
