Proposed job offer as a mystery shopper that I applied for on-line. I was mailed a (fake but looked real and even passed some of the security tests) cashier’s check for $2496.00 through USPS with two pages of detailed instruction's for buying Target gift cards. I was to scratch their codes and send him pictures of them ASAP. $496 was mine with the balance to spend on the gift cards. I googled the business names, his name, and the address on the envelope. Nothing for the businesses but came up as a scam spelled out to the T. I would get in trouble for cashing a bogus check, and he would take all the money back through the gift cards, therefore leaving me a deficit and possible criminal charges. Nope. Reporting to the proper authorities for investigation. I tried uploading photos but didn’t look like they were on the review page..?
