While searching for a dachshund breeder I came across the website booboodachshunds.com where I saw a picture of a puppy I immediately wanted to adopt. I reached out via the "contact us" portion of the website requesting information on the puppy's current health as well as that of her parents. The next day when I didn't hear back I followed up and was met with almost immediate responses, as long as the questions were related to payment or what information they would need from me. When asked again about the health status of their animals and a contact phone number to speak with someone directly I was met with radio silence. I had a feeling this was too good to be true and when I went back to their website I found information regarding the vetting process for their puppies including the vaccine schedule which goes against veterinary recommendations. Later that same evening I also came across the same picture of the puppy I had wanted to adopt listed on a different website with different information.
